People ask, "How was your trip?" And... I don't know what to say. These experiences are like spiritual retreats for my family. Some trips are pure therapy and others are therapy sessions. I have not had the best sense of humor lately. For most of this journey, the silence seemed to mock me, leaving plenty of room for me to put my foot in my mouth. By the end of it, I was pretty sure I had made Dick's Last Resort seem like a pleasant option. But (smile) lucky for me, I have an amazing family that accepts me even though I am not packaged perfectly. Albeit with a bad attitude, I still see all of these wonderful things. This is where the love is; when we share a part of this magic. There is a lesson for me on each excursion. This time, everything had to do with living in the moment: enjoy your food when you're eating it because the chef may never prepare it the same again; save for tomorrow, but don't waste time worrying about tomorrow; fruit is only fresh for so long. In the end, I am deeply pleased. We zip-lined and swam in the open Pacific off of a fishing ponga. We saw Scarlet Macaws, a sloth, squirrel monkeys, white faced Capuchins, an agouti, all manner of insect, fish, porpoises, sea turtle, birds galore, wild horses. Thank you, Earth. You never fail to impress. And, "Cheers!" Brenda. Welcome to the jungle! Every one of these pictures is worth a thousand words. And Technology, for allowing this breathless poem....
